After standing out in Esquadrão Suicida (2016), which was a public success but a critical failure, Arlequina (Margot Robbie) gets a second chance: the character will return to the big screen in Birds of Prey, which is scheduled to premiere in February 2020 in the United States.
According to the synopsis of the film, after ending with the Joker, Harlequin will join the heroines Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) and Huntress (Mary Elizabeth-Winstead), as well as police officer Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez) to protect the young Cassandra Cain (Ella Jay Basco).
Birds of Prey also features Ewan McGregor and Chris Messina as the villains Black Mask and Victor Zsasz, respectively.
Warner released the first teaser of the film, which quickly shows the protagonists and villains. Arlequina appears with a different look from the Suicide Squad, laughing and having a drink. At the end of the video, leave the message: "See you soon".
The feature, which is also produced by Margot Robbie, was written by Christina Hodson (Bumblebee) and will be directed by Cathy Yan (Dead Pigs). Check out the teaser.
